From online bookings to making the necessary payments, reserving your dream room at Y Suites can be done in five simple steps. Whether you’re eyeing a cosy studio at Y Suites on Waymouth in Adelaide or the sleek, fully furnished apartments in our brand new Y Suites on A’Beckett location in Melbourne, here’s what you need to do to secure an awesome place to stay!
Living solo, or sharing with a friend? Depending on your preferences and budget, you can take your pick between various room types available at our two university housing locations in Australia, which vary in terms of size and configuration.
This is going to be your new home away from home, so it’s worth giving this decision some thought as your student accommodation can make a huge difference in your Australian university experience. Our guide on the things to consider when choosing student housing might be able to help.
Once you’ve settled on a specific room type, go ahead to check if it’s available by entering your name, email, and preferred start and end date at the bottom of the room page. If it’s available, congrats — you’re all set to make a booking for your dream room! Just click on the “Book Now” button and fill in the relevant details to submit your room reservation to us.
You knew this was coming — it’s time to fork out the cash.
Two weeks’ worth of advanced rent (plus GST) will need to be paid as a deposit to secure your apartment. This amount is non-refundable, but will subsequently go towards your initial rent payment. Take note that if you change your mind and cancel your booking, you will essentially forfeit this deposit which will serve as a cancellation fee.
Don’t worry about how to make your payment, as we’ll provide you with clear instructions on the entire process. If all goes well and your payment is successfully processed, you will receive a booking confirmation via email.
We know that we live in uncertain times, where travel restrictions can change when you least expect it. That is why here at Y Suites, we have a flexible booking policy so you can book your rooms stress-free! If you are unable to travel to Australia, we can defer your booking for free until restrictions are lifted, after which we will offer up to 30 days for you to commence your lease at Y Suites. Alternatively, if you choose to withdraw from your studies in Australia, simply send us your letter of withdrawal within three days and we’ll refund you in full. Contact us any time if you’d like to know more about our booking policy!
The name’s bond… Rental bond.
Bond payment must be submitted in advance and received by us at least three days before your check-in arrival date. The bond amount consists of a certain number of weeks’ worth of rent, which depends on the type of room you’ve chosen. Our property staff will help you lodge the bond on your behalf with the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA), so all you need to provide on your end is the completed bond lodgement form and bond amount.
As with all rental apartment bonds, the amount may be refunded at the end of your lease, subject to deductions for room damages.
Last but not least, ensure that you have all the necessary documents ready with you prior to check-in. These include your passport, confirmation of enrolment (CoE) and student visa.
